(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in Bioinformatics:
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in plant comparative genomics (bioinformatics)
Applications are now being accepted for a postdoctoral position in Prof. Martin Lysak’s research group, where you will work on projects investigating the structure and evolution of crucifer genomes (Brassicaceae). The project’s goal is to create high-quality chromosome-scale sequence assemblies of numerous plant genomes and study the process of chromosomal and centromere evolution in these plant genomes.
Deadline: 15 April 2023
(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in Regulation of Gene Expression:
Postdoctoral Positions Summary: Regulation of Gene Expression and Molecular Carcinogenesis Group
Our research team is focused on learning more about the roles of CDK12, CDK11, and other transcriptional kinases in gene expression control and targeting in human disorders, including cancer. CEITEC’s laboratory is multidisciplinary, with cooperation from famous bioinformaticians, medicinal chemists, and an innovative biotech firm. To answer fundamental biological concerns, the post-holder will combine biochemistry and molecular biochemistry methods, particularly genomics and proteomics, with bioinformatics studies. We are looking for someone with strong competence in molecular biology and biochemistry, as well as knowledge of/interest in genome-wide bioinformatics analysis.
Deadline: 30 June 2023

03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position in Functional Genomics group:
Postdoctoral Fellowship Position summary/title: Functional Genomics group
A post-doctoral position is available in Dr. Michal MDA’s group to participate in research focused on the identification of novel targets for leukemia therapy, notably acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The study team is looking at molecular mechanisms that are required for malignant cells and/or are responsible for resistance to current targeted therapies. Most importantly, we investigate how to use resistance mechanisms to develop novel tailored therapies. We are looking for a competent individual with experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry to do large-scale drug screens and genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 cellular screenings, as well as in-depth validation of screening hits and extensive elucidation of molecular mechanisms.
The project’s goal will be to suggest novel molecular targets to break medication resistance and thereby improve therapy success rates in CLL or AML patients. Translational research will be conducted using immortalized cell lines, mice models, and primary patient material. Modern technologies such as genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 screening, next-generation sequencing, and single-cell sequencing are often available at the laboratory and/or local core facilities.
Deadline: 30 June 2023
(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position for the Hormonal Crosstalk in the Plant Development Group:
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Position in the Plant Development Group for the Hormonal Crosstalk
We are looking for a junior postdoc to join Helene Robert Boisivon’s research group – Hormonal Crosstalk in Plant Growth. Our research is centered on the role of hormones in plant embryo and seed development, as well as in the response to high temperatures. We employ Arabidopsis thaliana as a plant model and Brassica napus as an oilseed crop in our research.
