The research project is based on investigating arsenic mobilization in groundwater systems in Hanoi, Vietnam. Interested candidates can apply for this position before the date of April 15, 2024. The successful student will be able to research on investigation of arsenic mobilization in groundwater systems in the Red River Delta, Hanoi, Vietnam. The research project also includes identifying key microbial players and pathways influencing arsenic fate using field samples and anaerobic Fe(III)-reducing methane-oxidizing microorganisms. The characterization of microbial community composition, metagenomics potential, and gene expression patterns is conducted by Molecular biological and bioinformatic analyses.
