For the academic year 2023-24, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Worker Welfare Board/fund offered scholarships for children of industrial and mine employees enrolled in colleges/universities and institutes. Students studying at various institutions are divided into three groups. The deadline for Inter/DAE students to apply is October 31, 2023. Students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs have until December 31, 2023, to apply. Students studying medicine, engineering, and postgraduate studies must apply by March 31, 2024. The worker welfare board will cover all of the student’s expenses, including admission, tuition, transportation, hostel fees, library fees, computer fees, and exam fees. Students will also get a monthly stipend. Workers must meet the criteria outlined in the Industrial Relations Act of 2012. In addition, the worker must be registered with EOBI or ESSI. Employees of the Worker Welfare Board and Fund, as well as their dependents, are eligible for the scholarship. Scholarship Benefits:
Aspirants are divided into the following three categories:
- Students enrolled in educational institutes managed by the Worker Welfare Board / Fund. If places at these institutions are not available, pupils may be admitted to Public Schools or Cadet Colleges run by any Provincial or Federal Government. Priority will be given to students enrolled in higher secondary schools run by the Worker Welfare Board. These students will receive a monthly stipend of PKR: 3500/-. The deadline for applying for Category-1 is October 31, 2023.
- Graduate degree (2-year or 4-year degree) or equivalent from a HEC-recognized government or private university, or students enrolled in Affiliated Government Colleges. A monthly salary of PKR 4500/-
- For an engineering, medical, or postgraduate degree from a recognized government or private institution or college. Stipend of Rs. 5500/- each month.
Application Requirements:
- Aspirants pursuing Inter, Bachelor, MS/MPhil are eligible to apply.
- Applicants from KPK, Pakistan are eligible for these scholarships.
- Entrants enrolled in educational institutes managed by the Worker Welfare Board / Fund are welcome.
- A minimum service period of 3 years is mandatory.

- Admission offer letter by HEC/PMDC/PEC/HERA recognized institution
- Scholarship form attested by factory Management or CBA
- Attested copy of CNIC/Form-B/Birth Certificate
- Attested copy of Worker’s CNIC
- Attestable EOBI/ESSI Worker Card
- Copy of EOBI/ESSI worker card
- Copies of DMC/Marks sheets/Result cards of previous exams
- Original Service Certificate by the respective factory
- Original Payslip from the respective factory
- Copy of 2% payment certificate as per relevant registration act/industrial and Mines act
- Copies of fee payment receipts of the respective university
- Documental proof of the registration/recognition of the institution
