Kemitraan Negara Berkembang Scholarship, more popularly referred to as KNB Scholarship, is assistance provided by the Indonesian Government to deserving international students from developing countries to study for their degree (Bachelor, Master or Doctorate Degree) at a university in Indonesia. It was envisaged during the 10th Conference of Heads of States of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries, held from 1st–6th September 1992. In the next year, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia started to provide the scholarship to potential students from member countries of the NAM, starting in 1977.
The Government of Indonesia offers this Scholarship to international developing countries students, aiming to promote language learning and cultural exchange between developing nations. The Scholarship benefits, eligibility requirements, and process of application are given below.

Scholarship Coverage:
Successful scholars will get the following benefits, including:
- Full Tuition Expenses
- An amount of IND 1,5000,000 for Settlement Allowance,
- A Monthly Stipend of 2,75,000

Eligibility Criteria:
- Students from developing countries are eligible to apply.
- The maximum age to apply for the bachelor scholarship is 21 years old
- The maximum age to apply for the Master scholarship is 35 years.
- The maximum age to apply for the Doctoral degree is 40 years.
- English proficiency is also required.
- Doctoral degree holders are not eligible for the Doctorate degree scholarship.
Duration of the Programs
- The Bachelors degree duration is 8 Semesters (48 Months)
- The Masters degree duration is 4 Semesters (24 Months)
- The PhD degree duration is 8 Semesters (48 Months)
Note: All applicants must have a One-Year Indonesian Language Training Program (BIPA).
