HEC Undergraduate Scholarships 2023 | HEC Coastal Region Bachelor Scholarship is now open for candidates who want to get a scholarship. Coastal Region Higher Education Scholarship Program for Balochistan provides 200 scholarships for higher education to students of Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Torbat), and Awaran districts for pursuing BS in HEC-recognized public/private sector universities. Financial aid:
- Tuition fee and other charges (including hostel fee) up to Rs. 240,000 per annum or as per actual whichever is lower.
- Living Allowance Rs.15,000 per month.
- Book and Traveling Allowance Rs. 30,000 per annum.
- Scholars will be paid a maximum of Rs. 5000/month or whichever is actually less, where the hostel is not available in the university at head university charges.
- A maximum of one scholar from each batch will be awarded financial assistance at LUMS and IBA Karachi (Total 2).
- For pre-enrolled applicants, the stipend will be paid from the last date of application, and the tuition fee from the commencement of the session.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must possess domicile/locality certificate of Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Torbat), or Awaran district of Balochistan.
- Applicant must have completed 12 years of education with a minimum of 50% marks in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent.
- The applicant has completed both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent from a college/institute located in any of the designated districts of Balochistan i.e. Gwadar, Lasbela/Hab, Kech (Torbat) and Awaran.
- Students enrolled in any BS program prior to the advertisement can also apply for a maximum of one academic year/session.
- The maximum age is 22 years as per the last date.
Applicants must meet the HEC and University criteria for admission to the BS program. - Applicants who are already availing of any other HEC/Government scholarship are not eligible to apply.
- Students awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Terms & Conditions:
- The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit and district quota as per PC-I.
- Applicants should secure at least 50% marks in the test conducted by HEC.
- Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of Aptitude Test scores (conducted by HEC) and educational credentials as per the following weightage/formula: (SSC 10%, HSSC 40%, and Scholarship Aptitude Test 50%)
- The scholarship merit list will be prepared based on the online information/data provided by the applicants, and in case of any misrepresentation/error/omission, the scholarship will be canceled at any stage.
- The applications/descriptions of the shortlisted candidates will be evaluated in light of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
- Scholarships to students pursuing/admitted in BS (4 to 5 years) in all disciplines including Professional Management and Accounting certification of ICAP in public and private sector universities/degree awarding institutions recognized by HEC of Pakistan. will be given. ICMA (equivalent to 16 years of education by HEC)
- Selected applicants will seek self-admission to the specified program of study in Pakistan.
- The scholar must sign an agreement/agreement before receiving the scholarship. The terms and conditions specified in the contract/undertaking and award letter shall be binding on both parties. The Scholar shall also provide surety/guarantee to fulfill his/her obligations as specified in the contract/agreement.
- Final award letters will be issued after securing admission and completing all necessary formalities including legal documents.
Guideline on How to Apply for HEC Undergraduate Scholarships 2023 | HEC Coastal Region Bachelor Scholarship:
- Applicants need to submit an online application through the HEC web portal at the following link.
- Hard copies of applications and other documents are not required at this stage.
- Applicants have to deposit Rs. 500/- (Non-Refundable) as Application Processing Fee in Habib Bank Limited, Account No: 1742 7900 1334 01, Account Title: Higher Education Commission, Branch Code: 1742.
- The original bank payment record/slip should be uploaded along with the online application and should be kept by the applicant to be produced at the test center (no one is allowed to appear for the test without producing the original bank deposit slip will not).
- The applicant has to upload a photograph and required documents while filling out the application form.
- The applicant has to submit the online application after completing the application form.
- Applications that are reserved and incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
HEC reserves the right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason.
