HEC Cuba Government Scholarships 2022-23 For MBBS Degrees are open for All Pakistani candidates who want to get admission in Medicine Degrees with a Fully Funded Scholarship. The Government of Cuba has offered an undergraduate scholarship in the field of Medicine (MBBS) for Pakistani nationals for the year 2022-23. Candidates with minimum of 70% marks in FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent and a minimum 60% marks in matriculation exams can apply for a Cuban Government Scholarship. Applications for Cuban Government Scholarships can be submitted online at the HEC website. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is 12 September 2022. The scholarship covers tuition fees, food, hostel, and 100 Cuban pesos per month as a stipend. A one-time grant of Rs.300,000/- will be provided to the scholarship recipient upon departure to Cuba.

Scholarship Coverage:
The Cuban government will bear the following costs:
- Tuition fee
- Hostel accommodation and toilets
- Food (according to Cuban laws)
- Contribution to living expenses in the form of a stipend (100 Cuban pesos per month)
Other expenses such as round-trip air tickets, purchase of Halal food, medical insurance (sickness or other reasons), and visa fee will be borne by the student/guardian. However, a one-time grant of Rs.300,000/- will be provided to the scholarship awardee upon departure to Cuba (Scholar must have a working bank account in Pakistan).
Basic Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 70% or more marks in F.Sc. /60% marks or above in A-Level (Pre-Medical) and SSC/Matric (O Level).
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply as HEC requires a final score for merit.
- All Pakistani/AJK citizens, aged between 18-25 years as on application deadlines, are eligible to apply.
Selection Criteria:
- The final selection will be done on the basis of merit.
- Merit formula 50% FSC + 50% Matric
Required Documents:
The following documents along with the online application form will be required only from shortlisted applicants (no need to send a hard copy at this stage)
- Copy of HEC application form submitted through online application portal (assigned)
- SSC Certificate/DMC/Degree with IBCC attestation or O-Level Certificate (Science Group) with IBCC equivalent.
- F.Sc IBCC with Certificate/DMC/Degree or IBCC equivalent with A-Level Certificate (Pre-Medical)
- Birth certificate issued by NADRA.
- CNIC copy of father or guardian.
- No criminal record certificate. (original)
- Photocopy of valid passport (valid for more than 06 months)
- Original Medical Certificate containing HIV/AIDS report issued by Medical Superintendent of District Headquarters Government Hospital and further attested by Ministry of External Affairs (MOFA).

Apply online at the HEC website: https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/#/auth/login. After registering and filling out your profile, please select “Study Abroad Opportunities”. After submitting the application, obtain a printed copy for the signature of the applicant. HEC Online Application Portal will close on 12 September 2022 (04.00 PM).
