List of Scholarships:
(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023
Postdoc Fellowship Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow – Dayton Group
We are searching for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a project connected to EMBL’s Human Ecosystems Transversal Theme, where the focus will be on utilizing human organoid models to explore how environmental exposures and genetic changes impact airway plasticity and cancer susceptibility. Collaboration with the Cortes-Ciriano group at EMBL-EBI, as well as further collaborations with doctors and environmental epidemiologists, will be part of the project. The exact project can be developed within this framework to meet the candidate’s specific abilities and interests. This post is for a two-year term with the option and expectation of renewal.
The selected applicant will be intrinsically driven and will lead their own project, collaborate on other studies (both in the lab and with external partners), and may mentor PhD and Masters students. Most importantly, the applicant will help shape the atmosphere and research of a young and expanding research team.
Deadline: 3 October 2023
(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Germany
Postdoc summary/title: Spatial and single-cell computational biology for Precision Oncology
We are searching for a computational biologist/bioinformatician/biostatistician who can integrate data-driven biological discovery research, the creation of necessary computational or statistical methods, and the central management and integrative analysis of research data. The post offers tremendous chances for developing new abilities, expanding your research profile in computational biology and biomedicine, and making a genuine contribution to improving patient outcomes.
Wolfgang Huber’s research group at EMBL creates statistical data analysis and machine learning approaches for current biotechnologies, applies them to biological and biomedical discoveries, and converts them into reusable tools through participation in open-source software communities. The multidisciplinary and worldwide team works closely with cancer and developmental biology researchers.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position title: Mechanisms of Assemblies Formation Essential to Muscle Function
Depending on their size and dynamics, you will embark on an exciting journey to decipher the structures of selected reconstituted complexes and macromolecular condensates using an integrative structural biology approach that includes molecular biophysics characterization combined with small angles X-ray scattering, macromolecular crystallography, and cryo-electron microscopy/tomography. As a team member, you will play an important role in determining the precise biophysical and structural principles that govern complex assembly. You will contribute to the development of a 4D multiscale integrated molecular model by joining collaborative efforts.
