CM Punjab launched Solar Panel Scheme for Farmers:

CM Punjab launched the Solar Panel Scheme for Farmers. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the Punjab Solar Scheme for Tube Wells. Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the Punjab Solar Scheme to improve the Punjab agriculture sector. The major purpose of this initiative is to completely transform old farming practices by introducing solar panels and to help underprivileged farmers. Benefits of the Punjab Solar Scheme

1. Minimum Investment: The farmers only need to provide a modest 25 percent down payment at the start to receive a solar system.
2. Subsidy by Government: The Punjab government will cover the remaining 75 percent of the cost, which will allow farmers to repay the investment over their five-year tenure.
3. Lottery: A lottery will be held that will ensure the fair distribution of solar panel systems among deserving and underprivileged users.
4. Comprehensive Package: Deserving farmers will not only receive solar panels but also other components, which include batteries, inverters, and other essential solar devices.

Eligibility criteria

1. Ownership of the land: farmers applying for the scheme should own a land of a minimum of two acres.
2. Low Electricity Consumption: Farmers with monthly electricity usage below 100 units are eligible to participate.

Registration process

1. Register: Visit your nearest Bank of Punjab branch to register for the Solar Panel Scheme.
2. Ownership: Upon registration, farmers become owners of the solar systems after paying the 25 percent down payment as mentioned above.

The Punjab Solar Panel Scheme launched by CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a cornerstone of the Roshan Gharana Scheme, which aims to empower approximately 50,000 farmers across Punjab.
