The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has undertaken various initiatives since its inception and has achieved international recognition / milestones for quality standards in engineering education, accreditation and professional practice through leading regional and international professional forums. Are The PEC has approved the “Trainee Engineers” program for new graduates in its 43rd governing body. Under the scheme, 2,000 new engineers completing engineering degrees between 2020 and 2021 will work in various fields. The main objective of the scheme is to provide new graduates with hands-on exposure, knowledge of work, enhancement of skills and professionalism to handle the latest techniques and technologies.
Graduates who have not availed of any other training / internship program under any government program / scheme or have not been employed in any public or private institution or are not full time students of any public or private institution and in any field Graduated from a recognized engineering program. Within the last 02 years (January 2020 to December 2021), those who are registered with PEC as Engineer and have 50% marks or 2.5 CGPA in final degree are advised to submit their applications.

Program duration
The duration of the Trainee Engineers Program through PEC is six months.
Eligibility For Applications:
To apply for the PEC Trainee Engineers Program, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Fill out an application form with the correct information.
- Minority quota 5%
- Disability quota 2%
- Candidates from all over Pakistan can apply.
- Both male / female candidates are eligible.
- Candidates who have graduated in the last two years can apply.
- Candidates have earned at least a 2.5 CGPA.
Required Documents or Informatiom For Apply
- The applicant must have a degree guaranteed by a PEC-approved institute.
Program mechanism - Registration with CV by providing documents including discipline, domicile, location, and area of interest.
- Separation of data in the form of location, discipline, domicile, and area of interest through PEC for employers.
- Access to a pool of applicants to interested employers according to their need/needs (services, technical organization, HEIs, industry, R&D, marketing).
- Employers will share the list of shortlisted candidates with PEC for official notification.
- After approval, shortlisted candidates will be notified.
- Upon completion of the six-month period, an employer will submit a feedback report in the PEC format.
- Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a certificate of experience.
