  • First and foremost, a student should be familiar with the test pattern. A student must attempt a hundred multiple-choice questions in the allotted period of two hours, which is 120 minutes. This test, thankfully, does not have the idea of negative grading. One accurate answer is worth one mark, while the incorrect question is worth zero. A GAT test has three sections: English, Analytical, and Mathematics. The English portions have 40 questions, the Analytical component has 30 questions, and the Mathematics section contains 30 questions.
  • Let’s start with the English portion. Given that there are 40 questions, we may conclude that this part has the most weightage. This part includes antonyms, synonyms, fill-in-the-blanks, and questions on reading comprehension.
  • A student should read a few novels, especially by British authors, to be well-prepared for this subject. Also, attempt to read the columns and op-ed pages in English newspapers. Anagrams and crossword puzzles will assist the pupil in expanding their vocabulary. More than memorizing a large list of terms, solving at least one puzzle every day can assist you.
  • The analytical portion follows, with 30 problems consisting of logical puzzles and some logical thinking questions.
  • To prepare for this part, students might use the GRE Big Book, which has a large number of practice questions. Solving puzzles such as Sudoku or code breaker can also assist a pupil improve his or her analytical skills. Practicing the sample questions will help students understand what to expect from this area.
  • The following and last portion is the Mathematics section, which likewise has 30 questions. A student needs to devote some time to elementary mathematics in order to have a solid foundation for this part. The algebraic and geometric equations and formulas must be learned by the learner. A student can refer to the newest GAT format in the official NTS book or even use the NTS GAT sample papers to learn what to expect from this segment. Tips for Preparing for the NTS GAT Exam:

Time Management is the Key to Success:

The most important aspect of the test to remember is time management. Anyone who can manage time in such a difficult situation can manage anything, even the GAT. Even if the student understands how to answer all of the questions on the exam, poor time management will result in an incomplete paper and, as a result, a loss of marks. Practice answering 100 questions in 120 minutes so you don’t panic on exam day. If the learner practises sufficiently, he or she will be confident at the time.

Method of Test Solving Preference:

That is OK if you have your own techniques for completing the exam.

Starting with the mathematics portion is the best way to ace the NTS GAT test. Solve the direct questions, which should take no more than 45 seconds. This section’s direct questions may be answered in about 20 minutes. Continue to the English section when you finish the remaining questions. Use the same technique as before: tackle the questions you know will be accurate without hesitation and save the reading comprehension questions for later.

Mental Availability:

Try to be mentally accessible during the test and do not allow your mind to stray in ideas, as time management is critical. Keep in mind the instructions you read before the exam and double-check that you are marking the correct answer. You will not benefit from rote memorization throughout the exam. You’ll have to take a step outside and open the locked mental doors. Learn the skill of clever guessing throughout preparation; it will come in helpful during the test.

Be Confident:

When you get into the test room, you should be confident in your preparedness. Enter the exam with a winning attitude. For a student who enters the test with confidence, this will be a breeze. One advantage of stepping into the test room with confidence is that it reduces the student’s chances of being confused and anxious throughout the exam.
