ASEAN Joint Scholarship Program in Türkiye 2024
Turkey offers an ASEAN Joint Scholarship Program to students who want to get higher education on scholarship—this scholarship program is sponsored by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Students can apply for the master’s, or Ph.D. degree and language courses.
The ASEAN JSP was established to improve regional integration and cooperation in various fields, including education and human resource development. Citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia can apply for a scholarship. Masters Degree
Application criteria:
- Minimum 75% academic achievement rate is required to apply
- Applicant must be below the age of 30.
Coverage of Scholarship:
- A monthly stipend of TL 5,000 is provided
- Covering tuition fee
- Accommodation
- Health Insurance
- Turkish language course for 1 year
- One-off Flight Ticket
Duration of Scholarship:
The duration of the scholarship is 3 years. 1-year Turkish Language Course and 2-year for academic study

Research
Application criteria:
- Citizens other than Türkiye can apply for this scholarship
- Applicant must be under the age of 50

“Legal Permission Certificate” must be obtained from the relevant government agency that is in charge of the research location.
Certificate of Research Acceptance: An official document issued to the applicants by the applicable department of a university in Türkiye, which represents and certifies that the applicant is authorized to utilize the university’s facilities for research purposes by specifying the name of both university and department, research subject, supervisor name, the start and end dates of research.
Coverage of Scholarship:
- A Monthly Stipend of TL 12,000 is provided
- Accommodation

- Chance to go for research abroad
Duration:
The duration for research is 3 to 12 months.

Language course
Application criteria:
- A minimum of 70 academic percent is required
- Candidate must be under the age of 30

Duration:
The duration of the language course is 8 to 10 months.
