Austria offers three types of work visas.

  1. Red-White-Red Card
  2. Job Seeker Visa
  3. EU Blue Card

1) Austria Red-White-Red Card

The Red-White-Red Card is the most frequent type of work visa in Austria. The Austria Red-White-Red Card serves as both a work permit and a residency permit for highly skilled workers from non-European nations who wish to live and work in Austria.

It is valid for 24 months and can be renewed for an additional six years. To qualify for the red card, you must be highly qualified and have at least 70 points.

3) EU Blue Card:

If you have completed your previous education for a minimum of three years, have proof of at least three years of relevant professional experience, and have received a job offer from Austria with a salary of at least (€45,595; annual salary plus special payments), you can apply for the EU Blue card for Austria.

  • There is no points system in place for EU Blue Card candidates.
