05 Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of Texas in the United States Fully Funded

The Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, a top-10 engineering school with the No. 1 program in Texas, has been a pioneer in technological innovation and engineering education for more than a century. Ph.D. in petroleum engineering or a related discipline; familiarity with reservoir geology; knowledge of CO2-enhanced oil recovery; and proficiency with at least one multiphase flow simulation program, such as Eclipse, CMG, or Tough. Create articles and reports for national and international journals. demonstrated an aptitude for original, imaginative scientific analysis. the capacity to present to academic and operating audiences. ability to communicate verbally and in print. the capacity to function well both alone and in a group. a capacity for collaboration across disciplines, including geologists, engineers, and data scientists. Ph.D. must have been earned no more than three years after the start of employment.

• Test the effects of conditional MHC-II impairment in certain HAPC subsets on negative selection and Treg selection during the perinatal to juvenile transition by using flow cytometry and transcriptional profiling assays (Aims 2a and 3).
• To find out if the perinatal thymus does not effectively produce negative selection and if altered APC contacts are a factor, conduct 2-photon imaging and in vitro selection tests (Aim 3).
• Perform functional T cell autoreactivity experiments, as well as in vitro and in vivo Treg suppression assays.
• Analyse data from all the aforementioned experiments, make data presentations for our group, attend all pertinent group meetings and journal clubs, collaborate with other investigators on the P01 to analyze data, and write articles outlining findings for prompt publication in the research.

Applications are being accepted for a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Population Research Centre and Department of Psychology at The University of Texas in Austin (PI: Cristine Legare). The chosen applicant will participate in the Culture of Schooling Project, a research initiative supported by the Templeton Religion Trust, and work on the processing and analysis of a sizable worldwide dataset. The effects of formal education on demographic and economic outcomes have been well discussed, but less is known about how it affects the types of ideas, attitudes, and practices that people and communities acquire. This global initiative methodically records and explains the effects of formal education on people’s and groups’ scientific and religious ideas, values, and behaviors.
