  • The candidate should have a Valid Job offer from the Italian Employer.
  • The Employer must then apply for permission to work in Italy at the One-Stop-Shop for Immigration in the Prefettura where the position will be located.
  • Immigration in Italy will notify the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your home country that your request for a work permit has been approved and will issue you a visa that you can use to enter the country for a period of six months.
  • Now that your permission to work has been granted, you can apply for an Italy D Type Long Term Visa online or in person at an Italian Embassy or Consulate with all required documentation.
  • Now that your visa has been granted, you can depart for Italy. Within eight days of landing in Italy, you must apply for a residence permit at the One-Stop-Shop for Immigration at the “Prefettura” of the responsible province.
